GA Edit Process

Changes to the GA Edit Process Overview for Departments and Programs

The 2017-18 GA will be published in a new CMS, CourseLeaf CAT.

The Office of the Registrar now facilitates the edit process for curricular program listings in the Programs of Study section of the online GA. A detailed overview of the process including key dates is linked here (pdf). OTR has also posted detailed edit procedures as well as a dashboard, tracking the edit process through all three rounds.

Round One:
 March 27 - April 28

Policy sections (UG, GR, Non-Traditional Students, Faculty Grading Guidelines):

  • The VPAA office emails primary offices instructions for updating their sections, along with a list of sections and links for the content they’re responsible for.

  • Primary offices that collect edits from secondary offices or individuals that report to them distributes those sections. Each office must either respond “Reviewed and approved with no changes,” or, print out the section, make changes in red, and return to the primary office. *For major edits to text we kindly request an electronic version.

  • The dean or director of the primary office reviews and approves any changes by signing the printed pages with changes.  The primary office sends these pages to Susannah at MS-10 by April 28.

  • The VPAA office reviews the changes, commits them in CourseLeaf CAT, and flags any substantive changes for further review by the VPAA (Paula Sanders) and other senior administrators or faculty committees as appropriate by May 12.

Round Two:  May 29 - June 16
