What is Faculty Activity Report?
Faculty Activity Reports (FAR) are essential for performance evaluations, providing a clear summary of teaching, research, and service achievements over the past year. They help ensure fair decisions on promotions, tenure, and rewards by offering documented evidence of contributions.
FARs also encourage self-reflection, helping faculty identify strengths, areas for improvement, and set goals for future development. At Rice University, we use Interfolio to streamline the process, offering a central hub for activity data, publication tracking, and easy validation through Interfolio Data Service (IDS).
