Procedure A. How to submit LOA without changes in salary
If a faculty is submitting If a HCMI is submitting
  1. Fill out LOA Request Form
  2. iO > Me > Time and Absences > Add Absence
  3. Select the LOA type and add Start/End date
  4. Attach the signed LOA Request Form and submit
  1. Obtain a signed (by faculty) LOA Request Form
  2. iO > My Team > Add Absence (Quick Action)
  3. Select the LOA type and add Start/End date
  4. Attach the signed LOA Request Form and submit
Procedure B. How to submit LOA with changes in salary
If a faculty is submitting If a HCMI is submitting
  1. Fill out LOA Request Form
  2. iO > Me > Time and Absences > Add Absence
  3. Select the LOA type and add Start/End date
  4. Attach the signed LOA Request Form and submit
  5. Notify your Department or School so that they can submit an iO action to change the percentage of salary.
  1. Obtain a signed (by faculty) LOA Request Form
  2. iO > My Team > Add Absence (Quick Action)
  3. Select the LOA type and add Start/End date
  4. Attach the signed LOA Request Form and submit
  5. Submit a separate iO action to change the percentage of salary. Click here to see how. This action must be approved before LOA action is approved.

Please note that LOA requests will be reviewed by the VPAA and approved by the OOP. However, HR will finalize the action in iO closer to the actual date of the leave in order to accurately record the absence and align with procedures.
