Review, Promotion, and Tenure

What is Review, Promotion, and Tenure?

Over time, the decisions to reappoint, promote, and confer tenure to faculty have a profound influence on the character and quality of Rice University and an important impact on the individual. For these reasons, the processes leading up to these decisions require great care and attention. While keeping the goals and quality standards of the university in mind, those involved in the process must be scrupulously attentive to the process to ensure that all candidates receive a fair and thorough review.

Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) is an Interfolio module that is used to facilitate the review process any time a candidate submits materials that one or a series of committees need to review or approve.
